Tirupathi Karthik is based in Singapore and the CEO of Napier Healthcare which has operations across South East Asia, the Middle East, Oceania (Australia & New Zealand) and Africa. He is a passionate advocate for the innovative use of technology that turns IT investments into competitive differentiators for their stakeholders rather than using IT as a pure cost containment initiative.
For almost a decade now, Karthik has been championing the use of Mobility as a pervasive information delivery channel. His transformational vision and leadership style have reinvented Napier Healthcare where innovation is at the core of all the products and processes.
Recently he has been championing the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Healthcare but with a difference. He believes AI must be approached as a mindset and not just as a set of productivity projects or products. As a result, Napier’s products are infused with AI ideas – not just as standalone AI “use cases”.
As an entrepreneur, he was the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Nihongo Bashi, an investee company of the Economic Development Board, Singapore. Karthik is a winner of the 2007 ‘Spirit of Enterprise Award’, given to honour self-reliant entrepreneurs, starting and operating small and medium-sized businesses in Singapore.
His thought leadership has been well received as a speaker in industry conferences. Recently at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Quality & Innovation Day he spoke about Changing landscape of Patient expectations in the era of Artificial Intelligence. At the Institute of Policy Studies, at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy he spoke about Senior care in the age of pandemics. Karthik’s ideas have also been broadcast by mainstream media such as Channel News Asia and BBC amongst others.
